April 2006... Issue 11
Progressive changes for Passport Journal appear in this issue. We have an entire section on Poetry with Charles Ries, our Poetry Editor. For submission of your poetry, please read the revised Guidelines. In this issue we are showcasing seven outstanding poets. Your feedback is solicited.

Joyce Nower presents a great article for us this issue Cruising Close to Home. Her story makes us want to escape the Arkansas Ozarks and head for California. We bet you will want to, too.

George Alexander shares both his ability as a gardener and as a photographer with his outstanding Roses.

Co-editor Deborah Taylor brings the flowers of Arkansas right to your desktop with her photography and article Is it a Weed or a Flower?. We won't know what you think about it if you don't respond to her invitation to write to her.

Patricia Billings' final chapter of her journal in Florida. As we were writing this column Pat wrote us from North Viet Nam on her remarkable trip around the world in eighty days. She's promised to share her journal with us, so keep checking back.

The second (of three) presentations of letters that Dr. Lincoln B. Hale wrote home from Israel (more than fifty years ago) appears in this issue. All of his letters are of historical interest and importance. One unexpected result was an email from a distant cousin of mine whom I met on line for the first time. We are sharing genealogy data!

The theme for Issue 12 will be work by or about bilingual authors -- served to you in English.
