One writers' colony that gives us moral support is the Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas www.writerscolony.org It is a dream of a place for writers-keep it in mind. And, send us website addresses of your favorite writers' retreat, the why and the wherefore. Okay? OPEN LETTER TO ALL WRITERSWhen we first entered the on line publishing (with New Works Review in 1998, of which Passport Journal was a department,) conventional magazines did not consider this platform as an intrusive media and authors were able to submit their on line published writings to the conventional publishers. No more are on-line lit-zines considered benign. This, unfortunately, has lowered the number of submissions we receive. We never considered competing with hardcopy magazines, and encourage our writers to go after hard copy publishers. You own the copyright to every manuscript published on Passport Journal. We do leave on-line every issue we have published; we will maintain this. As you know e are unable to pay published authors, but do our best to showcase your work. Lucia C. Greer, Editor-Publisher Deborah Taylor, Co-Editor
